This 4/5 person, 1 bedroom apartment in the beautiful Upper West Side is in an historic neighbourhood with old townhouses and brownstones built in the late 19th century on tree-lined streets. The entrance to Central Park is directly across the street, minutes from the Harlem Meer (106th street) - an 11 acre lake and the 2nd largest man-made body of water in the park. Naturally landscaped, it is surrounded by some of the park's most impressive trees - Oak, Bald Cypress, Beech and Ginkgo, many of these trees are even older than the park! Go fishing at the catch and release pond, or for lunch go have a picnic or try one of the great restaurants nearby. There is also a full service gourmet grocery around the corner. The nearest subway is a 7 minute walk away at 110th street.

The apartment is located on the first floor of a recently renovated building and sleeps 4/5 in one double bedroom and on a sofa-bed. A fifth person (child/small young adult only) can be accommodated on a put-me-up bed. There's one bathroom. The apartment is airy and artful, with modern furniture, interesting artwork, high ceilings, and wood floors throughout.

This apartment has wireless internet access. There is no phone service.

On entering the apartment the living area (12ft x 11ft9, 3.7m x 3.6m) is to the left. It is decorated in a modern way with an eye for art. It has a plush velvet sofa that pulls out to a double bed (4ft6 wide).

There is a television (local channels) with a VCR and DVD player.

The room is quite spacious with 12ft. high ceilings, and also has a dining area complete with a glass table and 4 chairs.

The modern and open kitchen is located in the centre of the apartment, to the left of the living room and behind the dining area.



It has white cabinets and drawers, with wooden countertops to match the hardwood floors, and all the expected appliances including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.

The bedroom (11ft10 x 11ft, 3.6m x 3.4m) is located down the hallway to the right of the kitchen. It has a large double bed (6ft6 wide) as well as a nightstand with a reading lamp. There is a chest with 3 cabinets and 3 drawers for storage, as well as a rack for hanging items.

The newly renovated bathroom is located off the hall-way between the kitchen and bedroom. It has a full bathtub, overhead shower, wash basin and loo.

Transportation is a breeze from this location, with easy access to subway, a bus line directly outside of the building, as well as convenient taxi service.


The neighborhood borders on the busy Upper West Side, but this apartment is perfectly situated on a quiet street so you can have access to all the nightlife and get a good night's sleep too!
