This 6/8 person, two bedroom apartment is located in the beautiful Upper West Side. This is an historic neighbourhood, with tree lined streets boasting townhouses and brownstones built in the late 19th century. The entrance to Central Park is directly across the street, minutes from the Harlem Meer, (106th street) - an 11 acre lake and the 2nd largest man-made body of water in the park, naturally landscaped and surrounded by some of the park's most impressive trees - Oak, Bald Cypress, Beech and Ginkgo. Many of these trees are even older than the park! For lunch one day have a picnic in the park (there's a full service gourmet grocery around the corner), or try one of the great restaurants nearby - good for lunch or dinner. The nearest subway is a 7 minute walk away at 110th street.

The two story apartment is located on the first floor and sleeps 6/8, in one double, one twin and a pullout sofa-bed in the living room. Extra rollaway beds can be provided if needed. The building is a recently renovated high-end historic townhouse built in 1888 - the furnishings are modern, comfortable, classic and contemporary - all beautifully juxtaposed against the history of the building.

This apartment has wireless internet access. There is no phone service. Parking is available on the street.

The living area (14ft x 11ft6, 4.4m x 3.5m) has a pullout sofa (full sized mattress 75'' x 54"), 2 easy chairs, a circular coffee table, a tile inlaid fireplace and hardwood floors as well as interesting artwork on the walls. There is also a TV. The décor is definitely mod meets funky mixed with a little of years past.

A white tiled open kitchen with wooden cabinets and drawers to match the hardwood floors is located in the middle of the first floor.

It has all of the expected appliances including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.

There is also a washer and dryer available for guests' use downstairs.

The first bedroom (15ft x 12ft3, 4.6m x 3.7m) is located on the first floor behind the kitchen and first bathroom, and has a large double bed (80"x 60") as well as 1 daybed (78" x 42"). There are 2 full closets as well as a chest of drawers available for storage. The decoration of this bedroom is classic, with a bit of a modern twist - it is very comfortable and pleasing to the eye.

The second bedroom (14ft3 x 13ft6, 4.3m x 4.1m) is downstairs, has a 2 twin size beds, 2 bedside tables with reading lamps, a rocking chair, tile floors and a 2 full closets available for storage. This room is very large and can easily accommodate a rollaway bed, if needed. The décor of this room has an emphasis on clean, simple comfort.

The first bathroom is on the first floor and has a full bathtub, an overhead shower, wash basin and loo.

The second bathroom is downstairs and has an overhead shower, wash basin and loo.

The area is very transportation friendly, with easy access to subway, a bus line directly outside of the building, as well as convenient taxi service. This is a quiet neighborhood, but is still close to all of the action of the busy Upper West Side.

Full of history and beauty, this is old New York at its best!
